Despite some bright moments, Tornado couldn't secure a victory in the club's first home game in Division 2, as Evry-Viry took the points back to Paris with a 7-4 win.

The game started promisingly, with magician Holodkovs putting Tornado up 1-0 just 19 seconds into the match. However, the momentum soon shifted to Evry-Viry, despite strong efforts from Jesse Miquel. The first period ended with EV leading 2-1.

Tornado began the second period with a bang, scoring two goals in just three minutes. But once again, the pattern of the first period repeated, and EV managed to pull ahead, leading 4-3 by the end of the period.

The third period followed a similar script. Holodkovs started the scoring, but once again EV surged ahead, ultimately sealing a 7-4 victory.

Tornado had planned to play at a high tempo by using four lines, but injuries to Tanguy Mercier and Nolan Eriksson thwarted this strategy, forcing the team to play with only three lines. We hope for a speedy recovery for the guys.

In their practice, Tornado has been working hard on slow breakout from their own zone, which requires precise passing to maintain game speed. However, this game saw some careless passes that slowed down attacks and gave the opponent scoring chances.

Also Tornado legend Vesa Hirvonen, who spoke after the game, highlighted the need for more precision, saying the game was winnable. “I didn’t feel the pace was as intense as in last week’s match against Rouen. But at this level, opponents capitalize on mistakes at a higher rate, and today that was our downfall.”

Next weekend, Tornado travels to Dijon, which has lost its first two games of the season. The next home game will be on October 26th against a familiar team from Chalons.

With their victory, Evry-Viry moved to the top of the standings, while Tornado holds the fifth position.
