"At this level, you start to see individuals who can really make the difference," said Tornado defender Jonas Mullo after the game.
In this match, those game-changers were the Nordic imports of Châlons, who scored 8 out of their team’s 10 goals, leading Châlons to a 10-2 victory.
Tornado entered the game with a somewhat limited roster, having to play with only four defenders. This was especially challenging against an opponent that is strong at the net. Fortunately, rumors suggest that Tornado may soon strengthen their defensive forces.
On a positive note, it’s worth mentioning that last season, Tornado also struggled against Châlons in their first game, yet ended up defeating them in the final tournament in Dijon.
After four games, Tornado has two wins and two losses. With 6 points, they currently hold 7th place in the standings difference to the top is 4 points as well as to the 8th place. 8 first time go to the playoffs.
Next weekend, Tornado will travel to Reims, a team that had a strong showing this weekend against Wasquehal.
